Kotor Perast
Perast is located in the southern part of Montenegro, on the Bay of Kotor, at the foot of hill of St. Elijah, about 12 km north from the town of Kotor. The little town of Perast has the best-preserved baroque architecture in the coastal part of Montenegro.

Between the 13th and 18th centuries Perast belonged to Venice. The most beautiful buildings were constructed under the period of the Republic of Venice in the 17th and 18th centuries when Perast was at its peak. Palaces (Bujovic Palace, Zmajevic Palace, the Badovic Palace and the Smekja Palace) used to belong to maritime captains were built in the Baroque style due to the typical Venetian architecture.
