Kotor Sveti Stefan
Located 5 km from Budva , Sveti Stefan is an unique seaside resort in Montenegro’s Riviera; it is built on a small island near the mainland. Previously a fishing village, in 1960 it was converted into a luxory ‘town-hotel’, it became one of the Yugoslavia’s most famous tourist centers for the high paying clientele.
St. Stefan is an old settlement; it was first mentioned in written documents in the 15th century, when twelve houses were built that belonged to the Paštrović brotherhood. For a long time Sveti Stefan was a trading and political centre of Paštrović Family.
There are two sandy beaches on the left and on the right side of the “town”. The sand is reddish and the beaches are 1170m long. In the background there are restaurants, cafes, a hotel, a diving club and a parking lot.
